Lifeline
You're never alone with Lifeline.
The personal medical alarm service promotes peace of mind. Every day, Lifeline helps thousands of people live more independent, active lives at home. In a study of older adults, those using Lifeline reported significantly greater ability to go about daily routine and were ten times less likely to require admission to a nursing home.
Falling down and being unable to get help is a common problem for older adults. Research shows that almost one third of those over 65 (and half of those over 90) will fall each year. With a Lifeline alarm, immediate help is always just the press of a button away, giving you more confidence and peace of mind to live life to the fullest.
"I feel as though someone is always with me," said one delighted Lifeline user.
Here's How Lifeline WorksScenario: What if you fall and are unable to get up?
- Push your Personal Help Button worn around the neck or wrist.
- Your Lifeline Basic Unit or Lifeline Telephone is activated and automatically dials the Lifeline Response Center.
- A trained Personal Response Associate who has access to your complete profile and critical information will contact you immediately to see what help you need. You will never talk to a machine.
- If you are unable to speak, Lifeline sends help at once.
- If you can speak, the Lifeline associate will help you determine what kind of help you need and summon either a neighbor, family member or ambulance.
Frequent check-in calls are encouraged. You can press the Personal Help Button just to say hello and to let Lifeline know how you are doing, or to make sure the Lifeline equipment is working properly. Subscribers should contact the service at least once a month.
The service costs less about $1 a day, plus a minimal, one-time installation charge For more information on Lifeline, call toll free at 877-419-5566 or visit www.lifelinesys.com, where you can listen to real-life calls or take a quick survey to decide if a medical alarm is right for you or a loved one.
