"I picked the right hospital to start my career," says Nichole, who joined the staff at Saint John right after she graduated from nursing school in 2002. "Saint John has a terrific staff, and they have been extremely supportive during my training period. I couldn't ask for a more compassionate, knowledgeable and supportive team."

Nichole loves working in labor and delivery, helping moms through the birth process and caring for newborn babies. "It is an awesome miracle I get to experience each time I work," she says. She also likes the teamwork demonstrated by the entire staff at Saint John.

Saint John Hospital

"Saint John Hospital is a great place to grow as a clinician and as a person," says Valerie, who has been a physical therapy assistant at Saint John since 1984. She takes the hospital's mission to heart as she works with patients in acute, outpatient and long-term care.

"I think of how I would want my family to be treated when working with patients, because essentially we are all family," she says. "Healthcare is a stressful field at times, but the employees at Saint John and Providence Medical Center make working here enjoyable. They are very caring and very mindful of our mission to help all. We work together as a team, and patients notice that."
