March 27, 2006

Guests of this year’s Providence Saint John Founders’ Gala were treated to “An Evening in Tuscany,” from the Tuscan-style decor to the Italian cuisine and wine. The fourth annual major benefit event, hosted by the Providence Saint John Foundation, was held on Saturday, March 4, 2006 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Kansas City, Kan.

While more than 800 guests enjoyed a silent auction, benefit drawing for a trip to Napa Valley, dinner, dancing and entertainment by Neon Blue, they also contributed nearly $190,000 for the Founders’ Fund, to be used to assist those without access to healthcare in Kansas City, Kan. and Leavenworth, Kan.

The Most Reverend James P. Keleher, Archbishop Emeritus of Kansas City in Kansas,  Dr. David Johnson and his wife, Patty, and Dr. Richard Whitlow and his wife, Noelle, were this year’s honorary co-chairs. Jennifer Jo Cobb, race car driver and spokesperson for Providence and Saint John, served as Master of Ceremonies.
