Got a minute? Learn a lot
Find out how much you can learn about health care by listening to a series of 60-second spots airing on News Radio 980 KMBZ.
- The public service announcements deal with health issues, such as:
- The growing occurrence of heart failure and its symptoms.
- New developments that have brought relief to older adults with chronic back pain.
- A technique that speeds healing from the most common emergency surgery in the United States.
- Why millions of hernia sufferers may be missing out on relief for their problems.
- How long hot flashes and sleep problems associated with menopause are likely to last.
- How a new test and treatment is helping helped women avoid cervical cancer.
Providence Medical Center, its medical experts and KMBZ partnered to produce the radio spots, which are airing three times a week.
“We’re hoping to educate the community on important health topics,” says Jay Levine, director, business development. “Perhaps hearing a voice on the radio might prompt someone to seek help for their own problems.”
