Here's what some of the healthcare professional have to say about working for Providence Medical Center.

Joan Samenus, R.N.
Staff Nurse, Cardiac Catheterization Lab
Providence Medical Center

Joan has been a part of the medical team at Providence Medical Center for nearly 30 years for one simple reason: "I love my job!" she says. "I love the people I work with. It's a really friendly atmosphere, and we work well together as a team. We are a close family. It's a great place to work."

Joan started here in 1976 as a staff nurse on the medical-surgical unit, then transferred to the ICU. Now she's in the cardiac catheterization lab. Having worked in three different units, she's seen firsthand that Providence's patient-focused attitude is standard practice in every area of the hospital.

"Our mission is to give the best care to anyone who needs it," she says.

Bill Rogers
Physical Therapist, Rehabilitation Department
Providence Medical Center

After spending years helping patients with neurological deficits or musculoskeletal impairments, Bill has gained a lot of skill and insight. And he's thankful the hospital values his input.

"I have a say in the way we practice and how the clinic is run," he said. "Our staff is able to pursue their own program development with support of the hospital." Because of this, our Rehabilitation Department now offers a low-vision program and an incontinence program.

"We are fortunate to have first-rate clinicians, a great facility and supportive leadership."
Bill also admires Providence's commitment to provide quality healthcare to low-income patients who are often under served.

"It's very refreshing to work for a hospital where people are the bottom line, not money," he says.

Terrie Franklin, R.N.
Clinical Supervisor, Medical-Surgical Unit
Providence Medical Center

Terrie joined our staff back in 1980, fresh out of nursing school. She enjoyed working here so much, that she's built her career here. Recently, she was promoted from staff nurse to clinical supervisor. Her mission is to keep the medical-surgical unit running smoothly.

"I like the environment and the people, and I enjoy the challenges," says Terrie. "Our pay range is competitive to others in the metro area, and Providence is very easy to access."
