Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth Health SystemProvidence Medical Center is an affiliate of the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth Health System (SCLHS). The System is made up of nine hospitals and four stand-alone clinics located in the states of California, Colorado, Kansas and Montana. As part of the healing mission of the Catholic Church, SCLHS and its affiliates witness to the Gospel of Jesus by striving to provide quality healthcare in a spirit of justice and charity.
Two of the four stand-alone clinics sponsored by SCLHS are located in the service area of Providence Medical Center. Duchesne Clinic in Kansas City, Kan. and the Saint Vincent Clinic in Leavenworth, Kan., help fill a gap by providing medical care for the uninsured. Providence Medical Center is committed to supporting the important work of the clinics by providing X-ray and procedures, as well as other donations. The majority of funding for the clinics is from individual contributions, donations, foundations, grants and in-kind services. Services are donated by a variety of medical specialists in the area.
