Providence Medical Center is opening new doors to healing by responding to the exciting growth in the community, reinvigorating its facility with a $17 million construction project. The project includes a new Emergency Services facility, featuring an innovative way to provide emergency care called “Rapid Medical Evaluation” triaging, a Breast Center, as well as converting many semi-private patients rooms to private, updating the Intensive Care Unit, adding a new 64-slice CT Scanner, state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization laboratory and a number of facility updates.
Providence will remain fully operational during the entire construction process, which is expected to be completed in Winter 2009. Financing for this project will be accomplished through a mixture of operations, borrowing through the health system and community support.
